By James Agberebi:

Cameroon’s junior Indomitable Lions have crashed out of the 2017 Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations after losing 2-0 to Senegal in their last Group B game on Sunday..

Ibrahim Niane put Senegal 1-0 up on the stroke of half time, while Krepin Diatta made it 2-0 just after the break.

The win means Senegal finish top of Group B on seven points and qualify for the semi-finals.

In the group’s other game, South Africa’s Amajita joined Senegal in the last four after defeating Sudan 3-1 also on Sunday.

South Africa finished second in the group with six points.

Both Senegal and South Africa join hosts Zambia and Guinea as Africa’s representative at this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea.

The semifinal pairings in the U-20 AFCON will see Zambia face South Africa on Wednesday at the National Heroes Stadium, Lusaka.

And on Thursday, Senegal will do battle with Guinea at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
