Senegal U-23 defender, Adama Mbengue, is confident the side will get past Nigeria in Wednesday's last four fixture at the Africa U-23 Nations Cup and move ahead to win the competition, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Senegalese are firm favourites to win the game billed for the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium having won all their three group games, with Nigeria struggling to get out of a group that included Algeria, Egypt and Mali.
Mbengue also urges the country's football fans to rally behind the team in their quest to conquer the continent.
"We have a good team and we are working hard to win the tournament because Senegal has never won an African Cup of Nations title," he told reporters ahead of the game.
"We were tired because the last two matches were tough for us, but we managed to get good results.
"The fans were brilliant on the night as they have been all through.
"We need them to be behind us so as to win the tournament for them and the entire country."
