–Drogba, Ramires miss tonight’s game
Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Obi is among the 20-man squad Coach Jose Mourinho has listed for today’s UEFA Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon while the likes Ramires and Didier Drogba are not considered for the match billed to hold in Portugal.
Ramires missed last weekend win against Aston Villa after sustaining a muscular injury during Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at Manchester City.
Mikel who has also been listed in the Super Eagles 24-man squad to face Sudan in the double header of the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, is expected to make a huge impact against Sporting Lisbon if fielded by Mourinho in the match.
Meanwhile, the former Real Madrid handler has spoken about the Ramires condition, indicating today’s game as well as Sunday’s clash with Arsenal, would come too soon for the midfielder.
Complete Sports can also report that Diego Costa was part of the travelling 20-player party, as we as youngsters Nathan Ake and Mitchell Beeney.
