Glo Premier League top scorer, Mfon Udoh, has been voted as Complete Sports Player of the Month for November.
Udoh becomes the second home-based player to win the honour after Ejike Uzoenyi won the first one for January.
Udoh beat off fierce competition from Villarreal star Ikechukwu Uche and Dolphins forward Emem Eduok. The Enyimba striker, who scored a record 23 goals last season as the Aba side finished second in the league, got 47 per cent of the votes.
Uche got 35 per cent while Eduok had 13 per cent.
Udoh was the hero when Enyimba defeated champions Kano Pillars to finish second in the league and bag a CAF Champions League ticket. Enyimba had to win the crunch game in Aba to beat off competition for Champions League from Warri Wolves. Udoh delivered big.
The striker bagged a superb brace as the People’s Elephant defeated the champions 3-1 November 16, taking his league tally to 23, the most ever scored in the Nigerian league.
But Udoh did not stop there. Enyimba faced tough cookies Dolphins of Port Harcourt a week later in the Federation Cup final in Lagos. He scored one of the goals as the Aba side retained their trophy with a 2-1 victory.
Added to his involvement in the Super Eagles squads that faced Congo and South Africa in (ultimately unsuccessful) Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Udoh had a superb November.
