Ugbade: Ndidi Should Shun United, Chelsea To Stay With Leicester

Former Super Eagles defender Nduka Ugbade believes the career of Leicester City and Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will grow in leaps if he remains at his present club instead of joining a supposed bigger club,  Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

There have been transfer rumours in the British media claiming interest in Ndidi from the likes of Manchester United and Chelses Ndidi.

But Ugbade, who was one of the assistant coaches in Nigeria's FIFA U-17 World  Cup title triumph in 2013, feels the midfielder should first establish himself properly at Leicester before thinking of a big move.

"The talk of Wilfred (Ndidi) leaving Leicester to my mind is premature," Ugbade told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"His game will improve more where he is now.

"It is purely a footballing issue, however I feel he should just concentrate on the moment.
"Leicester shocked the football world with what they achieved last season in England and this season in the UEFA Champions League so why leave to where his game might be affected by lack of playing time.

"Ndidi hasn't done badly for his team so the most important thing is to remain focused, and leave contract and transfer talks for his agent.  If a move will come, it comes."

The midfielder is expected to be in action for the Foxes Wednesday night against Arsenal at the Emirates in a Premier League clash.
Ndidi joined Leicester from Genk in January and has been one of the English champions' best players since the move.
