Umar Scores As 10-Man Osmanlispor Advance In Turkish Cup

By James Agberebi: Nigerian forward Aminu Umar was on target for 10-man Osmanlispor in their 1-1 away draw against Yeni Malatyaspor in their second leg round of 32 of the Turkish Cup tie on Wednesday.

Osmanlispor progressed into the next round 4-2 on aggregate after winning the first leg 3-1 on November 28.

With just one minute on the clock, Osmanlispor got off to the worst possible as Tugay Kacar was shown a straight red card.

Despite going a man down in the early part of the game, Osmanlispor took the lead through Umar in the 19th minute.

Just seven minutes after Osmanlispor goal, Malatyaspor drew level through Eren Tozlu to make it 1-1.

Also in action in the game was U-23 Eagles’ 2016 Rio Olympic Games bronze medal winner Sincere Seth who featured for Malatyaspor.

Umar, who was later replaced by Ozer Hurmaci in the 54th minute, has now scored three goals in all competitions (two league goals and one goal in the Cup) for Osmanlispor this season.
