–Shehu Dikko, Amanze Uchegbulam also for NFF Presidential poll
Former vice President and later Acting President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Chief Mike Umeh has declared he is eager to contest for the top seat of the football house in the election slated for Friday in Abuja.
Umeh’s declaration comes on the heels of more candidates declaring their intention to slug it out with the former Super Eagles Team Manager at the election.
Shehu Dikko has joined the race by picking his nomination form just as Chief Amanze Uchegbulam has also picked his form.
Their entrance into the race brings to five those eyeing the exalted seat vacated by Alhaji Aminu Maigari. They include Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, Amanze Uchegbulam, Shehu Dikko, Chief Mike Umeh while Ambassador Chris Giwa’s position is not yet known.
“I’m still very much in the race, my intention to lead the NFF is still intact and I believe I’ve much to offer the game and steer it to a better height”, Umeh said.
“We’ve to move forward, giving every contestant a level playing ground and ensuring a credible election that will be acceptable by all including FIFA”, the Anambra State FA chairman stressed.
It would be recalled that new electoral committee headed by Ebomhe has opened on-line, the process of acquiring the nomination forms.
