Arsene Wenger has blamed Arsenal players' poor performance for their 3-1 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Arsenal's title hopes suffered a huge setback following the defeat as they are now 12 points behind Chelsea who seem to be running away with the title.
Reacting to the defeat, Wenger praised Chelsea for their dominant play.
"We had a strong start but didn't take the opportunities and after half time the second goal was the killer for us," Wenger said at his post-match interview.
"We were really naive and not clinical in our defending. Then Chelsea looked the better side. We took risks and they were well organised and played well on the counter-attack and looked powerful.
"We lost ball the many times. In situations we lacked maturity and experience. Individually some of our players were not at their best today."
Commenting on Chelsea's first goal scored by Marcos Alonso, Wenger posited that it was a foul on Hector Bellerin.
"It was a foul. If you look at a number of games recently we can feel sorry.
"It was 100% a foul, it was even dangerous play. That doesn't take anything away from the performance of Chelsea."
