Arsene Wenger has stated that Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United will only be finalized provided Henrikh Mkhitaryan joins Arsenal.
Wenger made this known in his post-match comments after Arsenal thrashed Crystal Palace 4-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Both Arsenal and United have been involved in a swap deal between Sanchez and Mkhitaryan in the past few days.
“Sanchez will only happen if Mkhitaryan comes here, that will be decided in the next 48 hours. It is a possibility,” Wenger said.
And on the transfer involving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang coming to Arsenal, Wenger said: “Aubameyang no, nothing is happening. He can be left out of the Dortmund team for different reasons, certainly not for transfer reasons at the moment.”
And on Arsenal’s impressive win against Palace, Wenger said: “January has been difficult for us, destabilising. We have had big players concerned with moving away which causes uncertainty.”
