Will Super Eagles Still Qualify For AFCON 2015?

Bafana Bafana 0-0 Nigeria: What is your say on the Super Eagles performance against South Africa on Wednesday? What do you think went wrong for the Keshi’ team in that match? Who impressed you and who didn’t make your grades? What corrections do you want Keshi to implement ahead of the subsequent matches?

The Super Eagles have just earned one point out of a possible six points from two matches in the qualification series for AFCON 2015. Congo Brazzavile are leading the group with maximum six points, followed by South Africa in the second position with four points. Nigeria are in the third position with one point, while Sudan are currently placed last without any point.

Will the Super Eagles still qualify with four rounds of matches remaining?

The most impressive SE play in SA is Kenneth Omeruo. He was everywhere in the back line. The SEs must raise their game above what we are seeing, or else, they should forget about qualification for AFCON. Every country is highly
prepared for them as defending African Champions. There should not be any automatic shirt for any player in all the positions, else, there will be laxity.

keshi should just go if the super eagles will be great again.he brings personal issues into the team.forgetting that he (keshi) formed d maffia in super eagles.why he did not invite victor moses? moses alone would hv changed both congo and southafrica match.

They wont qualify……its bad already and honestly I know my country esepecially when they start this their big man footbal where they cannot run for each other……even to make 90% accurate passes na lie……sometimes I wonder which kind professionals they are sef……We all know SE are not good on the road…..so against Congo they will get a draw or even lose as for Sudan they will be lucky to pick up all the 6points

  • yws, Nigeria can stil qualify. Who says they can’t? Lets nt 4get the fact that Nigeria are slow starters in competitions. Al we got to do is get our acts 2geda as a team and give them al the support they nid. No shaking!

The outcome of the two games played notwithstanding, I still believe super eagles will qualify for the nations cup in Morocco. However, Keshi should please make effort to add more options in the attack and midfield. Let him forgive IK Uche and call him back, bring in obafemi martins, Haruna lukman Ihenanco and Joel Obi. I must confess, Mikel Obi is no longer doing well. He should not start up games again. I think he is playing this way because he thinks he will always have a shirt to start. Also, Onazi should work on his passes, They weren’t accurate at all.
Finally, Ejide needs more confidence. I do not blame him at all. Because Enyeama has ruled in that domain for years and so he developed the needed confidence. So we just neeed to encourage him. He should be bold and be able to control his defenders. He should stop jumping up and down.
NFF should also keep their houses in order. Shameful people.

Well hopefully nigeria wil qualify, i am very optimistic that Congo wil loss along the way n am also sure that wen we go 4 d returning leg we wil definitely get back our pound of flesh. But keshi must keep his own personnal interest aside n call d likes of ike uche, obafemi Martins, victor Moses, ihenachor, lukman harruna, brown ideye n others who could giv their all in d nigerian colours. Pls keshi or wat ever u call ur self, stop using those u think u can benefit from their fortunes n do wat is right 2 restore back our national pride.

Our major problem with Super Eagles is the lack of a creative midfielder, Mikel has lost his creativity long before this time. Other midfielders like Abdul Ajagun, Joel Obi, Haruna Lukman should be invited to compete in that position. If Keshi fails to do that, then Emenike will always struggle to score goals. Another player that should be considered for invitation is Defender Dele Adeleye.

Keshi should go. He lacks the technical ability to take the Super Eagles to higher heights. 1 win in 10 games is a bad record.Football has gone beyond luck .

NFF is not doing well because it represent Nigeria, which also is not doing well. The super can never do well in the face of all these corruptions.

Keshi shd consider kelechi Iheanacho for SE midfield, he is the best we have, forget his age, just give him the confidence, the boy will work worders. why did keshi leave out Ejike, knowing fully well what he did to S.A.in Chan.Having said that, Naija ll make it to Morocco, no sleep shed be lost.
