By Kayode Ogundare in Moscow: As the countdown to the Final Draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup trickles into hours, some vociferous fans from Brazil have predicted that their country will win the title at the end of hostilities in Russia next year, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Completesportsnigeria.com ran into a group from the South American country at the Revolution Square here in Moscow and, despite the language barrier, they were able to convey their message of victory as they sang and danced inside the biting cold.
Hoisting a Brazilian flag, they were the cynosure of all eyes as they shouted ‘Brazil, Brazil, Brazil” at the top of their voices while indicating ‘six’ with their fingers.
Brazil is the most successful national team in the history of the World Cup, having won five titles as well as earning second-place, third-place and fourth-place finishes twice each. They are also one of the few countries, apart from Argentina, Spain and Germany, to win a FIFA World Cup away from their home continent with wins in (Sweden 1958, Mexico 1970, USA 1994 and South Korea/Japan 2002).
The Green and Yellows are also the only national team to have played in all FIFA World Cup editions since inception.
