Former Super Falcons head coach Sam Okpodu believes the side stands a good chance against Sweden at the Fifa Women’s World Cup in Canada.
The Falcons will open their title account against the Scandinavian giants in Winnipeg on Monday.
Okpodu said even though the Scandinavian side have an excellent structure, the African champions can remedy the shortcoming with the abundant talents in their fold.
“Sweden have been consistent as a result of a sound programme and structure in place,” he said.
“This is quite opposite in our own case, but we have abundant talent.
“However, I believe the Falcons can make all of us proud against Sweden.
“The encounter is certain to be tough but if they get their act perfectly right they won’t have any difficulties handling the side.”
