Yaya Toure: Guardiola Has Problems With Africans!

Cote d’Ivoire star Yaya Toure has accused Pep Guardiola of having ‘problems with Africans’ following his exit from Manchester City.

According to The Mirror, Toure, 35, made this known in an interview with France Football, to be published on Tuesday.

Toure struggled for regular starts under Guradiola over the last two years, making just 17 appearances in all competitions last season and admits he wondered if his lack of playing time was down to his ‘colour’.

“He insists he has no problems with black players, because he is too intelligent to be caught out,” Toure said.

“But when you realise that he has problems with Africans, wherever he goes, I ask myself questions.

“I think I was dealing with someone who just wanted to take revenge on me, who was jealous of me, who took me for his rival. I felt humiliated.”

Toure, who now says he is taking on the responsibility of being the person to ‘smash the myth of Guardiola’, feels the former Bayern Munich boss spoiled his farewell with Manchester City.

He added: “He stole my farewells with City. I would have liked to leave this club with emotion, as Iniesta and Buffon were able to do. But Pep stopped me.”

While at Barcelona under Guardiola, Toure won the treble in the Spaniard’s first season as manager with the LaLiga giants.

He played 319 times over eight years with City, winning three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cups.

Yaya was a great player but he also had a great ego!

No ego on Yaya at all. Pep is a racist!

    • Really??? Inasmuch as I agree that Yaya’s accusation is likely to be true, Yaya himself I’d no saint by any standard. I think Yaya’s attitude really stinks too.

Not a great fan of Yaya’s attitude, but admire his football skills. Still when I think of how Pep treated Eto’o at the peak of his career at Barcelona, my value for Pep went downhill. Second even when Iheanacho was consistently outperforming Sterling at Man City, Pep decided to sell him to Leicester. At the time, Iheanacho was the highest scorer in Europe on a goal per playing time basis. After Pep booted Iheanacho, he said, “I have a lot of respect for Iheanacho”. That is pure hypocrisy and patronizing typical of racists. So on the issue of Pep, I am with Yaya.

  • Pep it’s his time let him continue . He will get his reward . Look at what he did to Eto, Iheanacho that I think is a clear indication of his attitude towards Africans.Especially, how he booted Iheanacho .i don’t want to talk much. It’s well
