Former Super Eagles skipper Joseph Yobo says he is yet to sign for Kano Pillars or any other club in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Yobo has teamed up with the League Management Company as an ambassador to promote the NPFL and he was expected initially to play the last 12 matches of the season.
But with the season almost over, the ex-Everton star is yet to make an appearance despite being strongly linked with Pillars.
Yobo, however, insists he has not made any commitments to any NPFL club.
“I read that I was missing in action last weekend. I have not signed for Kano pillars or any NPFL club yet," Yobo wrote on Twitter and attached the bromide of a report (not in Complete Sports or Completesportsnigeria.com) which claimed he was 'missing in action' against Shooting Stars last weekend.
Yobo made 101 international appearances for the Super Eagles, making him the highest capped Nigerian player so far in history.
