  • DStv have effontry to still advertise on this forum. I have not been to South Africa but we are told that it is pay per view, just like BEDC prepaid meter. Why is that method not being operated here in Nigeria. Like what MTN did when it was first lunched some years back, when their sim card cost like N30000+ so DStv are peppering Nigerian by milking us dry with their present method of billing. Whether you watch or not when your subscription ends after 28days is not their concern. Now they want to increase the billing. On top of that they have fought TStv to a stop for trying to operate the pay per view. We need God’s kingdom under Jesus Christ our Lord to stop all this oppression.

    • My brother, it’s another bumper harvest time as the EPL has started. Nigeria keep shipping free money to SA to make the Rand stronger and the Naira weaker. Our foolish govt couldn’t even support one of our own to compete and edge them out of the Nigerian market and retain precious Forex — from HiTV to TStv.

In New Zealand, an indigenous satellite company won the right to broadcast EPL this season from Sky. What do we do here? Nothing. We can capture the Nigerian and West African market and let DSTV dominate the Southern and Eastern African market.

I have checked. There is no DSTV pay-per-view in South Africa.
“We are told” is not proof.
Why not Google it instead of pushing rumours?

  • #henry odukumaiya thanks for the “Google it” reminder and I have been educated. So it is not possible to run DStv like MTN. it will even cost us more because the subscriber will have to pay extra to watch a particular event or program outside the monthly subscription payment. Like Mayweather fights. You pay just to watch that fight on a special channel. If you don’t pay that extra money, that particular channel will not be activated. So which one is TStv own.
