Zamalek head manager Augusto Inacio has named Nigerian duo of Maroof Yusuf and Stanley Ohwuachi in his 21 man squad to face Zimbabwean side CAPS United clash in matchday-5 of the CAF Champions League, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
But Inacio left out six key players from the squad which departs Cairo today (Thursday) for Harare. The players include Bassem Morsi, Ayman Hefny, Hossam Paulo, Eslam Gamal, Ahmed Gafaar and Osama Ibrahim.
Both players (Yusuf and Ohwuachi) were on target for the White Knights in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Petrojet in an Egyptian league game.
While Maroof will be hoping to continue his goal scoring form for Zamalek in the competition in his sixth appearance, Ohwuachi will be targeting his third goal in for the former CAF Champions League winners in what could be his seventh appearance on Sunday at the National Sports Stadium in Zimbabwe.
A win for Zamalek will boost their chances of qualification for the semi-finals of the competitions.
USM Alger are topping the Group B with seven points along with Libya’s Ahli Tripoli after four matches. Zamalek are third with five points from four games. CAPS United are in the fourth position in the log.
The Zamalek's travelling squad will include the following:
