Zambia FA President Kamanga: Why Chipolopolo Will Beat Nigeria In Uyo

By Kayode Ogundare:

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president, Andrew Kamanga has revealed that the driving force behind his country’s quest to reach the 2018 FIFA World Cup is the fact that it would be their first ever appearance at the Mundial and that the Chipolopolo are motivated to beat the Super Eagles when both teams clash in Uyo on October 7, according to FazFootball.com.

Kamanga said Zambia is drawing motivation from being the only team in Group B that had never been to the World Cup.

“We are putting in every effort to make sure that this team is adequately prepared as we face Nigeria, which for me is the do or die game whoever wins that game will be assured of going to Russia 2018,” he said.

“But most interestingly in this group, we are the only ones who have never been to the World Cup, but with the favour we continue to draw on we should be able to qualify, come November because we have the advantage of playing already eliminated Cameroun in the final round.”

The FAZ Supremo is also unshaken in his belief that the Chipolopolo are capable of beating the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium which the Nigerians have turned into a sort of fortress in the World Cup race after 3-1 and 4-0 wins over Algeria and Cameroon respectively.

He added: “The must-win game is Nigeria, and I think our team has demonstrated the capacity to win away from home.”

The Super Eagles top Group B with 10 points, three more than Zambia and a win in uyo will hand the World Cup ticket to Nigeria while any other outcome will take the fight to the final day of the qualifiers when Nigeria will travel to Algeria while Zambia play at home to Cameroon.

Good mind games. The Zambians have a culture of believing in anything. But football is a game of 90 minutes. on 7th October, they will quickly realise Algeria was a very weak team & not in the class of the Eagles. Zambia lost in Ndola to a very weak Super Eagles without a few regulars and they will need more than a miracle to Survive with a very low scoreline.

That match will be played in the Zambian half for 90 minutes and will be a one way encounter like a gang rape.

      @ henry

….. WILL BE A ONE WAY ENCOUNTER LIKE …. And after the ref blows his final whistle, their WC dream will burst like a balloon.

Does this man know what is talking about at all. How does he know that they will beat Nigeria at home, wounded Cameroon would not beat them in their home and even Nigeria can also beat Algeria at home. He doesn’t know anything about football at all just chopping zambians money.

  • Tgrace 1 year ago

And then after the game in Uyo Zambia will still remain the only team in group B to go to the world cup.
Day dreamers. If all your talkings are in those day of kick and follow Nigeria football style no fan would have stand the side of the Super Eagles at all. But come to think of it now in a period where we are on fire to break every odds no body can stop the free scoring Super Eagles. To your shock Zambia there will be additional 3 players to the Super Eagles team. We will silent u come oct 7 and this will be a gift from the Super Eagles to celebrate Nigeria’s 57th independence.
Zambia pls forget get a win or a draw in Uyo, u cn’t get any. It is an outright victory for Nigeria
Take it or leave it Nigeria 4 v 0 Zambia

I like the way the Zambians are talking courage into their players. Unfortunately Nigeria wants to be at the World Cup too. Of course the unthinkable can always happen in football, like that 7-1 drubbing of Brazil by Germany. But such miracles are not common.

I don’t blame him as he is only trying to be patriotic. Uyo is not Algeria. I assure you that Zambia will meet with electrifying main bowl and receive some soccer tutorials come October the 7th.

Nigerians cool down,we know u trust yo men,us too..remember dat Zambia z not a walk over… Let m tel u this, bcoz u underrate Zambia u will lose. And it will b like a national mourning in Nigeria, take it or live it.

    • Tgrace 1 year ago

@alexander National mourning! I dnt blame you for that cause that is your depth of reasoning, am sorry for that. No body is underrating Zambians but we know what we are saying here. Did you think we are in the days of Yakubu, Lukman Haruna, we are talking of young and hungry Eagles mixed with experienced elders in the like of Mikel, Onazi, Moses. Could you pls go back and watch the match btw Nigeria v Cameroon before you make mouth here. Can Nigerians give this guy his deserved response?

The probability that Zambia would loose to Nigeria and Cameroon is 1. Because these two countries are not north africa.

logical style of answering question, you are right, are you a mathematician though, 1 is yes 0 is no

Of course, the man does not know much about football or he has gone out of his senses. Any Zambian who thinks they can beat Nigeria of today is only wallowing in pitiable illusion. Cameroun is not the only team have been eliminated. Algeria have also been eliminated, yet the man thinks that as a result of Cameroun’s elimination they will beat Nigeria. Can Nigeria not beat Algeria in Algeria since Zambia achieved that feat? How can he even be sure that they will beat Cameroun in Zambia? What makes him think that Nigeria will surrender the WC ticket to Zambia in Nigeria of all places just because Zambia have not gone to the WC before? Then Benin Republic should win the 2018 WC just because they have not won it before. Wishful thinking. Cameroun was so mouthy and boastful until they met their waterloo in Uyo, and since then they been quiet. When the same fate befalls Zambia on 7th October, everybody in that country, except the objective and respectful ones, will also be silent.

Zambians drink a lot of burukutu and pito. Do please, forgive the man for being delusional. Have you heard Rohr talking at all? That’s how you prepare for battle. Say as little as possible.

Hahahaha! I laugh in English language. Football is a game of two halves, expect and take anytn you get at the end of 90+mins. We still got a lot of advantages playing on our home soil with a better and experienced team and players. lets pray for luck on our side and God will definitely see us through. “our wings no go break ooo” FLY HIGH…. EAGLES, UP NAIJA!!!

  • Richie 1 year ago

This is the SAME way the Cameroonian FA man too was bragging, till his so-called African champions chopped four kulikuli.
Let this one contunu, he will drink plenty Zambian lager beer after the game.

Eagles Captain Mikel Begins Extra Drills Ahead World Cup 2018 Qualifiers Tie Against Zambia.
A personal man not yet a collective one. See determination of a good skippo. Do wait it will be Nigeria 4 v 0 Zambian, and when the rubber hit your eyes enh your eyes will open and you will know that Nigeria is no place to come for you Zambians

  • ames 1 year ago

it would be a game of quality vs mediocre, tactic mastery vs mere enthusiasm, prestige vs upcoming, experience vs stage fright, trumpets vs silence. zambians are postulating the end of the world, i doubt if they have read the writings on the wall or are simply defiant to it. Well its good to have self confidence and pride but there is a thin line between them and thats arrogance. we would play the nigerian version of’humble-kendrick’ come 7th oct.
