Zambia goalkeeper, Kennedy Mweene, has warned the Super Eagles of Nigeria not to underrate his side ahead of the 2018 qualifying fixture billed for the Levy Nwanawasa Stadium, Ndola on October 9, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Chipolopolo are the only side yet to make an appearance at the World Cup finals in their group that also include African heavyweights, the Indomiatable Lions of Cameroon and Desert Foxes of Algeria.
The veteran goalie however believes being rated as the underdogs will motivate the one- time African champions to beat the Super Eagles.
"We are in a tricky group, but Zambia performs well when a lot of people have written them off," the Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper tells Lusakatimes.com.
"Even the teams we will be playing against like Nigeria and Algeria know it won't be easy to beat Zambia.
"We have accepted the tag of being underdogs. We would like to prove many people wrong. Knowing the way Zambia play, we will be equal to task."
