Zambia football legend Kalusha Bwalya has hailed the Super Eagles of Nigeria following their 2-0 win against Iceland in their second Group D game of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday.
After a flat first-half performance, the Super Eagles came back firing and broke the deadlock thanks to Ahmed Musa who skilfully brought down Victor Moses’ pass before blasting it into the net.
Musa made it 2-0 as he raced into the box beat his marker, rounded the keeper before slotting it into the net.
Reacting to the win, Bwalya also reserved special praise for Musa for his well-taken goals.
“Massive win #Naija 2-0. Brilliant 2nd half, excellently taken goals #AhmedMusa #AfricaUnited,” Bwalya tweeted moments after the match.
The Super Eagles will now face Argentina in their last Group D game and must avoid defeat to progress into the round of 16.

I want to thank the coach who listened to us and kept ighalo in d bench, we had so many shots on goal and even hit wood work, if he had played in the first half, he would have wasted those chances, iwobi would have scored a goal in the dying minutes if selfish ighalo had given him the pass.

I said it yesterday that Nigeria must be calmed in this world cup. They did that and we saw the result today.
3-5-2 works for the team. When we are talking, the coach should listen to us. The coach caused us 3 points against Croatia which means we must beat Argentina.
Now, Simy should replace Ighalo. We must be everywhereon the pitch against Argentina. The cohession of the team is not up to the world cup standard. We must withstand Argentina and any team in the championship.
Man to man marking. Eagles should not respect Argentina. We don’t want a draw on Tuesday. I noticed that we leaves space to much for our opponents to operate which must be corrected before Argentina’s match.
Once again, we should not going for a draw against Argentina. Super Eagles must be fully prepared for this match.
This is our time to shine. The pressure is on Argentina now. Aguero and his colleagues believed they will beat Nigeria, they already said it. Even, commentators also believed that Argentina would win on Tuesday. But I laughed.
